OUR MISSION

Our mission is to reach and impact our community by following Jesus and obeying biblically sound princincples faithfully.

OUR HISTORY

St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Lowell was started in July 27th 1996 in Acton, Massachusetts with less than ten members. A year later, the church relocated to Lowell under the leadership of Reverend James Githetu.

The church moved to Lowell due to the city’s increasing number of Kenyans. Amazingly, the first service had forty people in attendance.

Our church is an American Anglican Church, Diocese of the Holy Innocents. Our Bishop is Rev. John Herzog and our Cathedral is in Scarborough New York.

St. Stephen’s Church, Lowell is located on 279 West Sixth Street, in downtown Lowell. Currently, we have a regular membership of between 200 and 250 members. Our current Vicar is Reverend Samuel Ngige Kimohu.
